What is the ICMC

The International Crisis Management Conference (ICMC) was created to help support the demand for regionalized education and training for preparedness professionals. ICMC is managed by a team from PreparedEx, the leading crisis, business continuity, emergency management, and security management firm. The demand for a variety of preparedness skills and a thirst for knowledge with respect to scenario-based training and exercises is at an all-time high. ICMC provides a range of professional speakers that deliver current and interesting topics that are often themed (scenario) based. ICMC welcomes you to its growing family of preparedness professionals and hopes that you will join us for one of our conferences soon.

Who Should Attend?

During an emergency, large or small, your organization and those internal partners as well as external stakeholders from the surrounding community will have to work together in order to respond to a crisis. The 2017 ICMC is a small venue that is educational, engaging and worth the investment. The speakers provided consistent messages and provided insights based on their real lessons as to what companies should be looking at and planning for during events. A local event to Boston with minimal expense but key takeaways of networking with colleagues and additional areas for consideration during hte planning stages of a crisis – best practices and where companies have gone awry. I was surprised to see just how varied were the primary competences of the attendees at this year’s  inaugural ICMC Boston, sponsored by PreparedEx.  Unlike the majority of conferences in this field that approach incident response from a single focus (such as Emergency Management or Business Continuity or Risk Management…or other), this event included all of the relevant sub-fields.  The speakers were uniformly riveting, and the attendees were leaders in their specific fields.
